Edee Joppich I.S.E.A., M.F./N.C.S.
Edee Joppich always has one or more paintings in progress in her studio! Since earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Mary Grove College followed by graduate studies at Wayne State University, she has had sixty one woman exhibits in galleries, museums and two at the Michigan Womens Hall of Fame in Lansing. IN 2019, having had paintings accepted in 10 international exhibits, representing the U.S. in Wales, Edee was awarded a Master Fellowship by the International Society of Experimental Artists.
Adventuresome artists have accompanied her on painting trips to Greece, Portugal, Italy, Mexico, Belize and the Dutch West Indies.
In 1980, Edee opened her own gallery in Northport, MI. For 40 years she curated an annual exhibit of works by 20 outstanding artists. Tourists from all parts of the U.S. and the world visited the gallery.
For six decades, Edee has taught classes and workshops around Michigan and North Carolina. Forty of those years for the Visual Art Association of Livonia. Edee is proud of her students and devoted to them.
She is currently excited about two new paintings in progress!
For 40 years Edee’s goal was to make Northport a destination for the arts. With the Northport Arts Association, her dream has come true! She worked from the beginning to help establish a vibrant art center, with special interest in the opportunity for art education. Edee was the NAA’s first art teacher
